Planned for Golf Club Hub clubs

Paid online.
Paid to the club.

ClubHub Pay is the software in Golf Club Hub that lets your club take payments online through its own payment provider. Green fees, pay links and wallet top-ups are paid online, and the money goes into your club’s own bank account. We never hold it.

Paid to your club’s bank account

From the team behind Golf Club Hub and ScribbleScore.

ClubHub Pay is part of Golf Club Hub. Payments sit alongside the bookings, member accounts and ScribbleScore competition scoring that Golf Club Hub looks after for clubs.

How it works

From sign-up to the first payment.

  1. Your club opens a merchant account

Your club signs up with the payment provider ClubHub Pay works with, or uses an account it already has there. The account, the merchant agreement and the payouts are all in the club’s name.

  2. The account is linked to Golf Club Hub

Your club links the account to Golf Club Hub in its settings, and we test a payment with you before golfers see it.

  3. Golfers pay online

Visitors can pay when they book a round, the office sends pay links for phone bookings, and members top up their club credit in the member app. Each golfer pays on the provider’s checkout.

Where the money goes

Straight to the club. Not through us.

ClubHub Pay is software. Your club takes the payment and the payment provider processes it. With your club’s agreement, the provider splits our software fee off into our own account with the provider, and pays the rest out to your club’s bank account after its own fees.

  • We never hold, pool or pay out club money.
  • Payouts follow your provider’s normal schedule.

What your club gets

Three ways to get paid online. One set of records.

Green fees online

Visitors can pay online when they book, in full or as a deposit if your club asks for one. The booking is confirmed once the payment goes through.

Pay links

When a golfer books by phone, the office can send a pay link by email or WhatsApp. The golfer pays online, and the payment is recorded against the booking.

Wallet top-ups

Members top up their club credit online and spend it at your club’s Golf Club Hub till. The credit sits on your club’s books, not with ClubHub Pay. It is club credit, not a bank account.

Reporting

Every online payment appears in your club’s Golf Club Hub records with the ClubHub Pay fee shown against it, so your treasurer can see what came in and what we charged.

ClubHub Pay covers the online payments above. Card machines in the pro shop and bar stay with your club’s current provider, and your club’s written agreement sets out which payments carry a ClubHub Pay fee.

Pricing

A software fee, split off when the golfer pays online.

ClubHub Pay’s fee is a software fee on the online payments your club takes. With your club’s agreement, the payment provider splits it off automatically when the golfer pays.

Your payment provider’s fees are separate and set in your club’s own agreement with the provider. Our fee is set out in a written agreement with your club, signed before ClubHub Pay is switched on for your club.

Questions

What your committee will want to know.

Who holds the money?

Not us. Golfers pay into your club’s own merchant account with the payment provider, and the provider pays it out to your club’s bank account on its normal schedule. The merchant agreement is in the club’s name, and ClubHub Pay does not hold, pool or pay out your club’s money.

What does it cost?

Our fee is a software fee on the online payments your club takes. With your club’s agreement, the payment provider splits it off each online payment into our own account with the provider, and pays the rest out to your club after its own fees. The rate is set out in a written agreement with your club, signed before ClubHub Pay is switched on for your club. Your provider’s own fees are separate.

Is it available now?

Not yet. ClubHub Pay is planned for Golf Club Hub clubs in South Africa, and this page describes how it is designed to work. Email or WhatsApp us to register your club’s interest.

Do we need Golf Club Hub?

Yes. ClubHub Pay is part of Golf Club Hub, so each payment is recorded in the same bookings, member wallets and financial records as the rest of the club’s system.

Which payments does it cover?

At the start, online payments in Golf Club Hub: visitor green fees, pay links, guest payments and member wallet top-ups. Card machines in the pro shop and bar stay with your club’s current provider. Your club’s written agreement sets out which payments carry a ClubHub Pay fee.

Which payment provider does it work with?

A South African provider that can split a fee off each payment while your club stays the merchant. We confirm the provider with your club during set-up. If your club already takes payments online, tell us which provider you use and we’ll check whether it can work this way.

How long does set-up take?

It starts with your payment provider’s own sign-up, where the provider checks the club’s details, identity documents and bank account. Once the club’s merchant account is open, your club links it to Golf Club Hub in its settings, and we test a payment with you before golfers see it. We’ll give you a timeline once we’ve seen your club’s set-up.

Who is behind ClubHub Pay?

Lumanaire, the company behind Golf Club Hub: K2024490035 (Pty) Ltd t/a Lumanaire, registration 2024/490035/07, Cape Town. Lumanaire is not a bank and does not hold club money.
